Where to download
Patch 4.0.0 is already available on Google Play. Players can update Sushi Diver, sign in to an account, sync progress, open Social Hub, and continue RPG Diver progression with the new social features. A demo version of Sushi Diver is also available on Uptodown for players who want to try the game outside Google Play.
Accounts and cloud saves
Sushi Diver 4.0.0 adds a new account system. Players can sign in with Google or keep playing with a guest account, and progress is now stored on the server. This lowers the risk of losing a save after reinstalling the game or changing devices, and makes account recovery clearer.
A guest account can be linked to Google to protect the current progress and make returning to the game safer. The update also adds sign-in on a new device through Player ID and a one-time code: the code appears on an already authorized device, then the player can connect another device to the same progress.
Player profile
Every player gets their own profile. It shows the nickname, unique Player ID, and playerTag. The Player ID can be copied and sent to another player to make search and friend requests easier.
The profile also shows player statistics: deepest dive, fish caught, collection percentage, start date, badges, achievements, friends, likes, and followers. The account is now a visible part of the game, not just a hidden save file.
Friends
A friend system has been added to the game. Players can search for each other by Player ID or tag, send friend requests, accept incoming requests, decline them, or cancel outgoing ones. Friend profiles can also be opened and viewed.
Follow and Like actions have also been added. This lets players interact with each other not only through the friend list, but also through profiles. For Sushi Diver, this is the first big step toward a more social version of the game.
Mail becomes a full game feature. Players now have an inbox with system messages, reward messages, and a Claim button for collecting attached rewards. Player-to-player mail has also been added.
Sending mail to another player costs 100 gold. The system also includes a blacklist and reports, so players can block unwanted messages and report problems. Mail uses a two-panel interface: the message list is on one side, while the selected message or compose window is on the other.
Social Hub
Patch 4.0.0 adds the new Social Hub window. It opens through the mail button on the boat and brings the three main tabs together in one place: Mail, Friends, and Profile.
Social Hub keeps the visual style of Sushi Diver and shows the player's currencies in the header, so the window stays connected to the main game interface. This is now the central section for accounts, profiles, mail, friends, and social features.
Online infrastructure
The update adds more online infrastructure. The game uses server time, remote configuration, and server synchronization for daily quests. This helps online systems work more reliably and prepares Sushi Diver for future live features.
The new social features require a server connection. Accounts, cloud saves, mail, friends, rewards, and synchronized quests now depend on online infrastructure, so Patch 4.0.0 becomes an important technical foundation for the next updates.
Google Play Billing and discounts
For Google Play players, purchases continue to work through Google Play Billing. The update also includes a payment migration for the Google Play version, giving the game a stronger technical foundation for products, discounts, and future sales.
This means Sushi Diver now has a better base for limited-time offers, discounts, sales, and store purchase logic on Google Play. For players, it means clearer support for future promotions and special offers.
Payments for alternative stores
A separate payment foundation is being prepared for alternative builds, including Uptodown versions. This work includes Stripe and PayPal infrastructure, server validation, purchase history, protection against duplicate reward delivery, and country-tier pricing.
Payment logic for Google Play and alternative stores is separated. Google Play uses Google Play Billing, while alternative builds use their own payment path. The foundation is ready, but the full in-game payment flow for alternative stores is still being refined.
Badges and achievements
Patch 4.0.0 lays the foundation for badges: visible signs of progress that other players will be able to see in a profile. The game currently has four main badges: Early Diver, Shark Slayer, Black Shark Slayer, and Orca Slayer.
Badges show a player's history and make the profile more meaningful. They give players more reasons to progress, defeat dangerous creatures, and display achievements inside Sushi Diver's social system.
What changes for the player
Sushi Diver 4.0.0 makes the game less lonely and much more connected. Players get an account, cloud saves, a profile, Player ID, friends, mail, rewards, badges, Follow and Like actions, the new Social Hub, and server synchronization for daily quests.
At the same time, the update improves the Google Play Billing foundation for future discounts and sales, and prepares separate payment infrastructure for alternative stores. Patch 4.0.0 is not only a release of new social features; it is also the base for the next online updates for Sushi Diver.
