RPG Diver Is Live

🍡 The new patch changes how diving feels. Before, the diver mostly hunted, collected fish, and returned to the surface. Now there is more risk underwater, more decisions, and more combat situations. The diver gets a full combat kit: weapons, ammo, crafting, skins, and new threats. Players need to choose the right weapon, watch their ammo, gather resources, and think about how to act during each dive.

What's in the Update

💣 This update adds a new RPG foundation to Sushi Diver for future development. The patch is not limited to one weapon or one mechanic — it expands several parts of the gameplay at once.

Added in the update:

  • new weapons;
  • RPG combat;
  • ammo and ammo crates;
  • weapon crafting;
  • skins;
  • updated combat gameplay.

Diving is no longer only about catching fish. It is now a full underwater adventure with combat choices, resources, and progression.

New Weapons

⚙️ The update adds different weapon types. They differ in feel, role, and the situations where they are most useful.

  • Together with weapons, the game adds ammo. These are separate boxes of cartridges that can be found during a dive. If the diver has a weapon equipped and its charges are not full, the player can swim to a box on the seabed and refill the current weapon's ammo. This adds another goal during a run: now the seabed matters not only for fish and materials, but also for bullets that can extend a fight. Ammo cannot be picked up if no weapon is equipped or if charges are already full. So an ammo box works best as a useful find at the right moment: when the player is already using a weapon and wants to keep diving without returning to the boat.

  • The shuriken is the first weapon in the new combat progression. It flies in an arc, spins through the water, and is a good way to learn the new aiming system. This weapon opens the path to further crafting: after it, the player can move toward a more serious arsenal.

  • The rifle is a more direct and readable weapon for precise shots. It gives the player more control at medium range and helps fight targets that are hard to reach with the regular harpoon. It is a good choice for steady hunting when accuracy and a reserve of charges both matter.

  • The shotgun fires a spread of pellets. It is useful when a target is close, moving quickly, or when the player wants to cover a wider area in front of the diver. This weapon feels stronger at short range, but it requires careful timing.

  • The net gun changes the approach to hunting: instead of normal damage, it lets the player catch fish in a net. After a successful hit, the catch can be collected through interaction. If the shot misses, the net tears, so this weapon is more about precision and the right moment.

  • The sniper rifle is built for long range and high damage. It gets a red aiming laser so the player can see the shot direction and prepare the attack in advance. This weapon suits dangerous targets that you do not want to approach too closely.

  • The dart gun puts fish to sleep for a limited time. The dart remains in the target's body, giving the player a safer chance to approach or change the situation in combat. It is not just a damage weapon, but a control tool that can help during difficult dives.

  • The grenade launcher deals area damage and creates an explosion with a strong visual effect. It is useful against dense groups of targets or large enemies when one precise shot is not enough. The explosion comes with camera shake, so the weapon should feel heavy and powerful.

  • The rocket launcher is the heaviest weapon in the new arsenal. The rocket flies with a swaying trajectory, creates a large explosion, and gives combat a strong sense of recoil. This weapon is meant for rare but very powerful shots. It is important to use it at the right moment.

RPG Combat and New Choices Underwater

🦑 The new combat system makes dives more active. Now the player needs to not only swim to a target, but also choose the moment to attack, watch the weapon, and react to threats. Weapons add more ways to clear a dive. In some situations quick attacks work better; in others precise shots, nets, darts, or heavy weapons are the better choice. This changes the pace of the game and makes each dive less repetitive.

Ammo and Ammo Crates

🧊 Weapons now use ammo. During a dive, the player can find an ammo crate on the seabed and refill charges for the weapon currently in the diver's hands. The crate cannot be picked up if the diver has no weapon equipped or if ammo is already full. So bullets become part of the tactics: watch your supply, decide when to keep hunting, and when to look for a refill.

Weapon Crafting

🍘 Weapons are now tied to crafting. The player gathers materials, spends resources, and unlocks new gear options. Crafting adds more progression between dives. New weapons become part of the diver's growth: gather the right materials, prepare gear, and gradually strengthen the combat kit.

Skins

🍙 The update adds skins. They let players change the diver's look and make progress more visible. Skins add more personalization. The diver can look different from run to run, and players get another way to show their style underwater.

New Threats Underwater

🚨 With new weapons, the underwater world becomes more dangerous. The update adds more combat situations and makes encounters with sea creatures more intense. Players need to react faster, choose the right weapon, and use ammo wisely. Some dives now require not only speed, but preparation.

As Promised in the Teaser

🐚 In the teaser "Who Is That Diver?" we showed that a major Sushi Diver update was on the way. That patch is now live.

The new diver has weapons, ammo, crafting, skins, and full RPG combat. This is one of the biggest Sushi Diver updates and an important step for the game's future.

Big Plans for Future Updates

RPG Diver is not the final stop. It is the foundation for the next Sushi Diver updates. 🐳 First, we will focus on balance. Our goal is to make weapons more accessible, clearer, and more useful at different stages of the game. We will look at progression, crafting cost, ammo, damage, and how different weapons feel during dives. 🦀 We also plan to add new bosses and more dangerous underwater encounters. The new combat system opens more room for enemies, attacks, rewards, and events. 🚢 Another major direction is LiveOps. We want to add events, competitions, and activities where players can compare progress, take on challenges, and earn new rewards. 🍥 We are also planning better player progress support: achievements, save continuity, and the ability to keep playing across devices, including Web.

🍜 Dive in, gather resources, craft weapons, and see how much deeper the game feels after this major update.
